I will go by tail thickness, hip bones showing and dent between the eyes. she is a little skinny but not bad at all. I would work on getting her to take chpopped red wigglers. Maybe after she finishes all those blackworms

I've got the male coming in with her tomorrow.... I want to try frozen krill first I guess then pellets. I'd like to get them on pellets before the new tank arrives lol

Update... And a bad one. She was extremely lethargic today... And has cloudy eye.. I did a water change and thought I got all the waste, turns out I missed a load. The black worms must have killed my water quality.. Probably shouldn't have dumped them in the tank all at once.. 2 portions worth of blackworms also covered the ray's poop so the water quality dropped quickly... Did another 70% water change and exchanged the poly fill polisher. And stirred around the blackworms to look for anymore waste and uneaten foods. Also added ammonia chips to temporarily buffer any ammonia. Water quality test will be done tomorow. Hopefully she will be good tonight.

Was going to, I even added extra filtration. Was thinking I could get away with it for a week. Definitely wrong. Can't cheat Mother Nature. I only was planning on putting them I'm the 40 gallon just to quarantine. Was deworming, ensuring appetite, and making sure no surprise illnesses would come about. Been about 5 days no since I've got her. Was planning on putting her in the 300 gallon coming Saturday. I had a bad experience with new fish giving my entire tank diseases... So I do this out of habit and fear... Ideas on what I should do?
The tank wOnt arrive till Saturday, once I set it up I dump the 2 rays in the 300. Do not worry about cycling as I have a seeding tank. A 30 gallon of all the filter media intended for the 300. Then will be dumped into the sump and run the 300 gallon.

Well it's only a 5050 chance lol. It's either they do or they don't. But I talked to aquascape. They said I can keep the male there until ready. My ammonia read over 1.0 this morning when I went toget a water test at aquascape. Did a 70% water change. And going to add some ammonia chips
