Update? Been rooting for you, watching a ray not eat is a terrible ordeal.

But it's eating blackworms for sure? Looks like you are out of the woods then, good to hear.

Try starting to soak shrimp and tilapia in the blackworm water. Throw little pieces in with the blackworms

Dear All, I am new here and need some good advice I have a motoro stingray size is 7 inches. She is on a diet of blood-worms or freshwater fish which i chop into small pieces and freeze to store.
I bought a hikari sinking carnivore pellets 74 grams packet and tried mixing it with all her favorite food yet it will not touch those pellets. Also tried keeping her hungry (sad) for 15 days and today had to give in by feeding her live fish which she ate all 12 in a night. Can someone guide me as to how to make her eat pellets.Feel jealous when I read how all your stings are eating pellets happily.

It's fine to give in one day if they are looking rather skinny but not till then. Like you did feed that one day and then start offering just pellets only again for as long as you can until she looks really starved a good bit and then feed only once her food she will eat and keep that up. Sooner or later they switch. Took a couple months for one of my rays that was super picky.

Ok update on the 2 rays... They seem to have finished all the black worms but still has an issue of eating other foods... My rays are not eating the krill I am feeding. Nor are they touching the pellets(obvious). And they seem to ignore any worms larger than bloodworms and black worms. My rays are about 6-7 inches in diameter. And I'm beginning to think that this won't be enough for them

I had similar issues with my male marble. He wouldn't eat anything but earth worms. Don't know why, but eventually he just started to sample other things and now eats just about everything. It took months though to get him there. I would give him earth worms daily and ten skip a day and try something else. Eventually he caved.
