how big is the retic now? about 4-5"? then i would say it would outgrow the tank in.... maybe a 6months to a year...

Uh oh, better upgrade soon. 5" retic can easily have 6-7" tail which means your tank would already been too small.
i prolly messed up some where along the lines with the rays mesurments cause right now he has alot of space
well he has to be pretty close to that size... when he turns towards the front of the glass and his tail is right behind him i bet there is only 2-3" gap between his tail and the back wall
