I never tried the infusoria/brine shrimp/etc. I'd just take a small amount of crushed flake/pellet and toss it into an empty plastic water bottle w/ tank water. Shake it well (use a smaller amount of water with less food). I'd then pour that into the tank through a spare piece of 1/2" cpvc I had leftover from the UGJ setup - followed by more tank water. It drops a cloud of food right on the fry, and gives the parents something to attack while the fry eat.
You might find your parents will take flakes/pellets right off the surface and drag them to the bottom to spit into the fry, as well as fanning the bottom to stir up the second course.
When mine were in the 2-4mm range, they'd try and swim off with half a wax worm.
(It was gratifying to see a single fry drag a whole wax worm a few inches across the tank) They break up into filaments that are a great size for the fry. Just cut them in half / lightly squish them.
The tropical granules worked out great as they got a bit bigger. Each fish would snag one, and swim away contentedly while it softened up enough to eat.
