got a link? Dallas is kinda far to drive from montana. Montana doesn't even have a public aquarium. I've been told that I now have the largest heated indoor body of water used for fish keeping in montana. That's sad! I plan on building a 8-12k gal insulated heated outdoor aquarium in the next few years. That will probably be the largest aquarium in montana. I Have talked to the hatchery program managers around here and the largest tanks they have are like 4,000 gals. That's not even heated or indoors. Guess I'll have to start up the state aquarium lol.

he will eat them whenever he feels like it

My 24" RTC grew up in my 1000G, there are a few fish that he is free to take as dinner, the list is:
6" Salvini, 7" Frontosa, 8" Chocolate, and a 14" Aro.
So far he didn't eat anyone.

This is quite different from what I was told. His stable foods are Markerels, which are larger than some of the cichlids. He takes two every other day.

I was in Big Al's the other day, and the guy working there showed me a video on his cell phone of his 20" RTC eating his 1' 6" Gar and his 1' Silver Aro. He is tying to get rid of his RTC.

OK WHY DID HE WATCH IT HAPPEN!!!!:screwy::nilly::screwy:
if that was me my hands would have been in the tank trying to pull out the fish from his jaws (even if lifeless) attempt to separate and at least attempt to save the gar and arrow.... I dunno maybe just the tail was showing when he found them!?! :WHOA::confused::WHOA:

I watched my rtc eat a LMB that was 15", I was gonna grow out the LMB, but I didn't really care cause I could catch another one any time. But the arrow and gar are a different story.
