When you accidentally buy a fish...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That's the hope yes... not so fussed about mess as do plenty of water changes and gravel cleaning, just can't keep up with the algae on my glass... just got home and the pleco is out of hiding and exploring, he's about two to three inches I'd say and my pulchra is 7-8 inches... I know it's risky but hoping with enough hiding place and plants plus keeping the pulchra well fed, I might be lucky

Do you know what pleco it is? I found bristle nose to be the best for algae.

It may work, I never tried a pleco with mine but the few things I did try didn't last an hour. Good luck :)

Thank you :) his colour has really improved since putting in the floating plants... I'll try and get a better pic later so it'll be easier to confirm.... You thinking of getting another one at all? :p

The plec is still alive which I hope is a good sign :) he's got a ripped tail though :-/ and must admit the thumps I keep hearing are slightly alarming... Fingers crossed though that this is just getting territory sorted -as surely if mr grumpy chops wanted him dead, I'd have a very dead plec and not just a slightly beat up one?

They are pretty hard.Just make sure he is interested in eating fish slime (sucking on your fish).Pretty hard to see in in the pic but some potentials from what I see is common pleco and hifin.

I've got a better pic on my slr, which I'll upload when I get back from Yorkshire sometime next week... he seems mostly busy sitting on the back of the tank from what I've seen, but I'll keep an eye out
