When you buy tanks do you buy used or new?

Ok 4 tanks 3 new 1 used,but if i could find my next tank used i would buy it but its not a standard tank size so new it will be.

currently i bought all of my 4 tanks i own new cause im afriad of leakage which i aint good at resealing it.. yeah the money saved from buying used one could have gotten me a nice fish instead ><

I bought my 65 used on C-list, got a great deal. But for my 120g I could not find any used so I bought new.

I was stuck with a 5ft tank for my location and all C-list had were either 4 or 6ft. Plus with that size or bigger I really did not want to risk getting a leaker or having to reseal.

I have always bought used. It's just so much cheaper and I never have problems with the tanks. I have gotten a few free even, and the oldest was made in 1991 I believe. It's still holding water fine in my basement. The only new tanks I have are my 20 long which I bought about 8 years ago, and my eclipse 5 hex.

Used. I advertise; 'Cash for Aquariums' in the regional classified papers (like The Little Nickel) before the Xmas holidays and just before tax time.

After finding a used 125, drilled with over flows and a stand for 50 bucks, I don't think I could ever get myself to buy a new one. I love looking on craigslist. That's where all my tanks are from.

Mostly new because almost everyone that's selling used tanks are selling crap. I like my tanks overkill in thickness and most used tanks are standard sizes. I bought my 750 used though because I couldn't afford it new and it was made of 1" plexi anyways.

I have pretty much bought all used, except I just bought a second hand brand new 125. Still had the wrapping on it.

Most of my tanks are used,and half of them were free.People seem to just throw tanks away when they tire of them.
