Why don't you build a bigger cage for him. Or why don't you see if you can sell him to someone who will provide him with all the proper care he will need. You already are going to have your hands full with you nile.

He doesn't have the nile anymore............

why does it say 124.99 on the tank????? you selling it already??

I was gone for a week without any internet....so what happended to the nile!?

It bit his sister and mom made him take it back..

I would agree that 55g is too small for that mangrove right now. Curious on why theres a price on the side of the tank too..

Yea I'm actually curious on the price thing too.......when he had the little tokay in the smaller setup with the flower pot there was a price marked in silver sharpie on that tank too.........

Oh, I see......

So largecichlid, what makes you think that this new monitor won't bite your sister? When full grown, this species is not much smaller then a nile.

Man, you go through reptiles like a 3 year old goes through shoes.

the tank was from a previous owner and he never wiped the price off.from what i read mangroves arent normally agressive.and so far this mangrove dosent show agressive behavior.

no your right i think they are a calmer varanid. Not being funny, but does it not have anywhere to hide at all? Also why don't you use a thermostat so you can regulate the temp. properly, and have a digital thermometer with humidity gage or even a infra-red gun so you can be sure you know what the temperature is at both the hot and the cool end of the cage. Do mangroves need a bit more space than its currently got, and are they semi-arboreal, i've seen a lot of set ups that are a bit more geared up towards this?
