I'm in North Canton, Ohio. We have a nice fish store called "Wet Pets" on Whipple Ave. I'm there at least once or twice a week checking out the inventory.
i have a nice red tail about that size! i love them. wet pets is a good shop. i'm a bit sheltered so its the best around for me. just got a 3" silver arowana from there.
I'm another one from Dayton. No great fish stores here anymore. The various Jacks chain stores can surprise you every once in a while with the random oddball selections, but usually not. Gerbers is a warehouse type place off the beaten path, I usually check it out a couple times a year.
Powrisal - I like Aquatics and Exotics for dry goods, but for really mundane things like Prime I go to Jack's. I got most of my fish from private breeders, though, mostly from someone in LA.
Are you a member of the GCAS? It's a great club, and it only costs $11 per year to join. They have monthly meetings and two big auctions per year - the next one is in October. They host one of the very best fish auctions you could ever hope to attend. The website is: http://www.gcas.org/ . You might not find super-monster-fish there, but I don't know for sure, you just have to show up and see what's there! If you are looking for something a little more tame, there's no better or cheaper way to get high-quality healthy fish.
IF ANY OF YOU IN OHIO OR SURROUNDING AREAS LIKE CICHLIDS, THE ACA CONVENTION WILL BE IN CINCINNATI IN 2009. One of our GCAS members will be the chairman for that convention!

I can't keep discus anymore. Since I moved here the water is too hard and I'm tired of fighting with it . Right now all I have is a breeding pair of jds. I don't pull the fry from the parents so they usually don't last long.
