Just because a pup looks like one parent or the other, does not mean that it is a 'pure' animal and not a hybrid. It is possible that females can have a litter with multiple sires- it'd be cool to do the genetics to figure out, but as Colin states, it does happen in some shark species.

Right there is the best way to look at it.

And like Colin and Erica both said, it's possible that there can be multiple fathers, but it hasn't been proven to happen via DNA at this point.

If one parent was one speices, and the other parent was another species, ALL of them are hybrid pups and those pups will never be capable of giving 'pure' blood offspring from that point on.

good point you just mentioned. In science, off springs of 2 different species cannot produce viable off springs, but if these " sp " rays are making babies, that either throw the hundred year " scientific " theory out the door, or makes all "sp" rays the same specie?

Maybe the parrents looked like motoro but were actually hybrids. 1001 possibilaties. Is your wild caught leo a leo? Or a hybrid looking like a leo?
