I have to ask this. Were visiting my GF's parents again in a few weeks and it reminded me how they keep the syrup for pancakes in the fridge! Were all adults here and everyone can do as they wish....but its always fun to joke around!
1. If I make a pancake on the stovetop or even perhaps microwave it I don't want some 50F cold syrup on the pancake! Especially covered in it. I typically put butter on, but not a huge amount. Most people put syrup on quite well....2 minutes later my nice and warm pancake is 70F and getting colder. No thank you.
2. I don't want to wait 30 seconds per person to get me some syrup.
3. Unless were talking about real $10 a bottle maple syrup it doesn't need refrigerated. Your average maple syrup is perfectly fine in the pantry.
That's about it. I just need to know I'm not crazy for wanting my warm pancakes to be warm.
