fire eel?
i cant find it anywhere
took out all the rocks
took apart my filters
checked my floors.
nothing is big enough to eat my 13" fire eel.
could it be under the sand even tho i have run my hand through all of it?
any ideas please post

i have a tire track and i thought i lost it but it was behind the heater

Do you have any decorations that have a lip at the bottom, like a little hollow castle thing or something.. could be sitting inside of something like that..

my fire eel likes to bury itself. they have been known to move under the substrate when you dig, so depending on how deep it is you'll never find it.

i have dogs. but my tank has a canopy and its up high. my stand is open, nothing is on the floor, last time i saw it was 2 days ago in its pvc pipe. i have checked both heaters also.

im hoping it is just digging, when adding my rpcks back in i stirred up the stand then places the rocks down. hopefully it is still there. how long do they hide under the sand?
and i have tahitian moon sand. and its about a 2 inch layer

If they get out of the tank they squirm on the floor and can move quite a distance. I have heard of people finding there fire eels across the house.
