i dint say you had faulted logic i was just lost as to why. i know that if you add to much bb they wont have any food and will die and it can cause another cycle

just my .02
Yes that is true I look out for such things diligently. Its just irritating because I asked where to put seeded material. Not if I should or should not.

put it in the hob.. its easy to get to and easy to remove.. way less work than opening the canister...

however... i too am lost as to why you doing this if the tank is already cycled...

cause I can:) I broke down the other tank(cycled) but I didn't want to hook up two aqua tech 5-15 on my 55 gallon it already had plenty of filtration. So I put their filter floss in my new HOB along with the fish from the other tank.I figured this would help the addition of two larger fish go smoother,

Sounds logical to me!!! Add more fish, smooth out transition for fish by adding existing BB media from old tank!!! Sound spot on!!!!
:D

lol this feels ages old to me. I should have clarified to everyone I was moving in fish as well to a newly cycled tank so some BB covered media would be helpful. Im sure everyone would agree.
