Ur right he doesn't look that good. But when u sell 1000s of umbees u r bound to have a few that don't look as good as others that's the gamble anybody takes when buying small fish, and I don't breed any fish in ponds they are all breed in green houses so I know exactly what they are I never lie! Even if the other person doesn't like what I say lol! But very sorry for u not getting a top notch Umbee from me many many people have! But again sorry!

Damn, someone went crying to you already? lol I clearly struck a chord here.

But you do get your fish from several fish farms including Don Conkel's right? You've stated that plenty of times, I've seen it. So many of your fish still come from large ponds where you have no control over what breeds with what, unless you can provide proof that you import F0 fish from Central and South America to breed your own stock. I'm not talking about your ethics or how cool you might be (the service was excellent), I'm simply saying that when you deal with so many fish in such large settings there's no way you can control the quality of your product, and you have already agreed.

By the way, according to you the Umbee I got was "hand picked" and it was one of the largest you had at the moment. That's the reason you raised the price from $9 (as listed on your vendor page) to $40... and probably the reason you charged me $40 for 2-day shipping in the same state when the USPS label on the package said it cost you $14 lol

Here is a short vid I took with my cell phone sorry for the quality cell phone sucks lol

A random video from 2010 proves nothing, you could have 10 low quality pairs breeding in a concrete pool and only show the display to the public. You wouldn't be the first.

All I have to say is pictures don't lie. I already provided all the proof I needed to back up my claim.

Yeah, its a tough call man...especially when you mail order from a group/batch, you just dont know what you'll get. I guess buying a good size group would ensure the best chance of getting good lookers or if you're going for getting a pair.

I looks matters then its best to buy a fish at 3-4" from someone that selling 1 fish. This way you know that its the only one. Heck even this dont work sometimes, as some people like to post a stunning fish and then ship you a different one.

100% guarantee is to go there in person and buy it yourself.

CAcichlids, where did the parents of your umbee come from? As in, who did Jason get them from originally?

The father is "The General" which is a wild caught Rio Mag Umbee bought from Ira in 2010/2009 and the mother I'm not sure if it came from ira or UMBEEKING that same year. You can PM Jason for the receipts lol, I'm merely pointing out the obvious difference between the quality of both fish, even though both were sold as "F1 Rio Mag Umbee" at roughly the same size/price.

Pet-pourri just got in a new batch of some nice red fry. Everett, Wa.

And where do you think Ira got those umbee from?

I have no idea lol. As I said, ask Freshwaterpredators. I know UMBEEKING caught some of Jason's stock himself, but I wasn't a MFK member back then so I don't know the details. And frankly I could care less about the details, pictures don't lie and are still there for you to see. It's funny because I show you solid proof and you try to go back to 2009, spin this around and make it about me, well it's not, it is about the contrasting quality between two fish that were sold as exactly the same thing. Not my fault your friend didn't deliver. Maybe next time you question other vendor's stock you should be ready to take criticism about your own ;)

I'm out!! Lookin forward to seeing this amazing Umbee grow up. BTW there's more available! get yours now before they are gone.
