so, im going to be ordering a few of a Amphilophus sp on the next rapps order.

now im undecided which way to go so i thought id do a poll and let you guys decide for me.

you can post some pics explaining why your choice is the one i should pick!!

it will be a 'pair' of a Amphilophus sp

as you have probably guessed i am fond of the barred sp already, but stuck the coloured in anyway.

ive narrowed the list down a little the list consists of:

Amphilophus amarillo
Amphilophus chanco
Amphilophus citrinellus BARRED
Amphilophus citrinellus COLOURED
Amphilophus sagittae BARRED
Amphilophus sagittae COLOURED
Ampilophus sp red istletus

thanks

Howard

My vote goes to the amarillos. I have a male from Davis that I am very happy with. He is a beautiful fish and has quite a bit of personality. He also does an amazing job of guarding fry. The fact that they are not overly common is a nice plus as well. If you go with them make sure you have an adequate setup, they tend to get rather large.

Any of the guys you have listed will be awesome! I have just never seen the Red Istletus so that is deff my vote! LOL

got any pics of ures??? i have plenty of biggenough tanks.

and will have plenty more once the fishroom is setup.

Since you didn't list Trimaculatus, I picked Chancho....(but you accidently spelled it wrong). It was a tough choice between that or a barred midas.

Mine is still just a little guy but here he is.

Hmmmm...... Tough one!

I think LowCel and I have the same taste. That strain of amarillo is just awesome, and the fact that their colors change so dramatically during breeding is cool. They look like Bumblebees!

I was too heart broken to vote...

because I was all ready to vote Trimac...

I would choose probably between the Amarillos and the RedIsletas. I've got some small Amarillos, and a breeding pair of the Isletas... male is about 6" and the female is 4 to 4 1/2". Attached a photo of the RedIsletas I just took tonight, but the angle was downwards and the glass kind of distorts their appearance. This pair came from Rapps.
