Demjor, could you please expand on the head injuries theme?:)

Couple of diff. members posted on this last month. Silvers in tanks are subjected to numerous head bashes which may cause the drop eye, While silvers kept in pond seem to have less cases of drop eye and a couple of claims of drop being cured from being kept in ponds.

Seems like a valid argument, but then again hard to really prove. The following are 2 of those posts

Honestly, if you had a super bright light shining down on top of your head day after day, year after year, i'm sure your eyes would be glued to the ground too. I wonder if an arrow kept in a tank with no lights would develop drop eye. Just a thought.

drop eyes usually occurs the first few months of an arowanas life. and most aquarium lights arent that bright unless say if you where to tan a silver (which is stupid)

besides my aro (for example) isnt looknig down by choice, she has some kind of fluid filled sacs above her eyes

asians .HA!!!

can jars tan? if so they are the best EVER!!!!! imo.
if not still cool but will go with silver.

Blacks and Silvers.. If there were not such a huge drop eye problem with Silvers :) I love the Size of the Silver.. And the Majestic presence!!

I am not really into Aisians..

I prefer Jardinis...closest looking Aro to look like an Asian Aro.

Whats dumb is assuming you know the answer to a problem that in fact is still a mystery to us all. It was just a thought. I was not saying it's true, but just throwing out ideas.

Aren't that bright? Flip your light over and put your face about two to three inches away from it (about the distance a normal silver would be from it). Now stare at it for as long as you can. Now imagine that for about 8 hours a day. :hypnotize I think I just invented a new form of torture.

I just found this smiley on the list . It's so awesome.:nutkick:
