Why do you want to breed fish?

To see something interesting and develop your skills as a fishkeeper... Or make your first million?

What do you like?

I'd go with rainbow cichlids or spilurum or nanos or the like as a first breeding project.

I agree with them but also maybe some harder to find like red ceibals because there is no store in Michigan that carries them. Is the 20g long or high? If it is a long them u could be alright with the red ceibals but a high might cause a few problems.

I was gonna ask the same thing.
I would go for Apistos myself.1 male to 2 or 3 females. You will need grow out tanks for the fry.

i want to breed them for something neat just for fun and if i can make a little money to that would be cool but its not needed

Cons and Kribs are no challenge and you'll soon be over run...at least Rams you can get a good sell on price.
