I would really like one Oscar and one Jaguar.
On fishlore they said it wasn't a good idea, because of the aggressive nature of the Jag.
If not a jag, which other large cichlids would go well?
firemouths, salvinis, geophagus a lot of vieja species, what fish do you like? If we know what you like we can say if its suitable or not. Hope that helps!
Oscars are peaceful. Most other cichlids push them around, hence the jaguar issue. I wouldn't risk a jag with my Oscar, but anything is possible. Just know you're rolling the dice. With lots of line-of-sight breaking decor you'd have a pretty good chance, especially if both are very young and raised together before maturity. Jags get a lot bigger, though, so you'll eventually be upgrading most likely. An 18" jag makes 143 gallons look like a fish bowl.
