Which fish are easier to keep: firemouth cichlids or convict cichlids?(Also please give tips lol)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
You could buy prebuilt decor or just lean rocks/driftwood on top of each other. Terra cotta pots are also used often.
Mine doesn’t hide much, but will disappear into the heavy planted section I have if it wants.

Okay, I'll add a plant pot(pretty sure terra-cotta pots are the same) into the hardscape. Also, sorry for not posting anything on this for a while, I actually don't know what to post lol.

Feed pellets as the main source. Things like blood worms, mysis shrimp, frozen foods, worms etc should only be feed as a one time a week treat.
Modern pellets especially ones from the better manufacturers have all the nutrients a fish needs.
I feed strictly NLS pellets and no treats actually and have outgoing active healthy not overweight fish.

My opinion would be fire mouth

I have kept both in the past and boy them convicts are cool but they breed like there is no tomorrow and I had one that use to stand up to my massive tiger cichlid male

from my experiences I would t go near convicts again lol

By tiger do you mean Oscar or motaguenese, cause I have a lot of respect for any fish that can take on a parachromis.
