The 55 is a pretty good deal here (Alberta, Canada), and just what I'm looking for, but I would be inclined to wait. I'd be watching for a real snap of a deal - say a 75 that looks just like it!

Overall prices up here are higher, these are both considered "good deals" and were sent to my by a friend on a different forum, its hard to find a tank over 10 gallons cheap. The problem with building a cinder block stand is that my "new tank" will be going in my living room and should look very appealing. I was leaning towards the 55 because the stand looks decent shape.

Cover the cinder blocks with a solid tone cloth...

Both prices are way up there, even if they were new!!!MAybe the first package is cool, but wait for something bigger....If your budget is around $200, and you are looking at small tanks, buy a new one.....Save more money by building a stand out of cinder blocks....San Francisco price for a brand new 55 is $55....How much does a 55 cost in Canada$$$$

if only i live in san fran..................

skip on both, if they are used than thats a bit high on both.

both tanks look like death is near i would go to whatever fish store around there and buy a new 1... reason for selling tank is i dont know how to take proper care of fish.... around here we can deffinatly get a complete 55 gallon setup including stand brand new for 275

I would not buy any of those tanks. You can get a 55 gal at Wal mart for $ 155.00 brand new.

Not with a stand.
It also comes with substandard filter and heater

Also remember that your price(which is based on supply/demand) in your area is not the same price in her area. Esp since she's in canada..

Tanks in my area between 20-55 gal are generally more expensive $ per gallon wise.

Once you get up to 150 + they are not that badly priced. I've been looking around for tanks for a while, its hard to find them around here.

I wish I could just grab another 180 up, but I need a smaller tank.
