which is better Frozen food or pellet for polypterus

If the food is left thawed for too long, or left in the freezer too long, I could see vitamin b1 deficiency becoming a problem.

The symptoms of it could possibly explain some deaths.

i was talking more of packaged frozen food. I also feed mine market shrimp and tilapia often.

my polys love to eat this, these are the smallest sinking pellets i could find. their way smaller then any chiclid gold ones even the baby and mini. its also extremely inexpensive and supposedly very healthy. i use to feed my polys $$$$$$$-hikari sinking carnivore pellets-$$$$$$$$. i think ill save that stuff for my rays...
