At 12". Teeth

okay, my 13 inch dovii nailed me so i know first hand that they pack a strong bite...thought i was gonna need stitches.
another to take into consideration in my opinion is a fully grown butti. mine took abuse from my dovii for a few months but was so big he took all the dovii could dish out. the butti was subdominant for this time period and the dovii was happy to be king so there was not alot of fighting. then i came home from work one day and the butti had snapped and killed the dovii dead!! the butti was 16 inches. here are some pics of them sparing

this butti was extemely aggressive and would attack anytime you got close to the tank.

Yes.Positive.I took that pic myself.The RD male in the pic is about 13"s and that Dovii is well over double it's length.It is at Underwater world in Maloolaba.

yup you did take the pics...i remember you made a thread of it and you posted these pics while you were down their :D and yea i knew it was over 2' but i didn't know it was really THAT big lol :eek: awesome you guys :headbang2i wonder how come no one voted atleast once for the Red Devil...:confused: lol their mean too but ehh maybe no one is into them no more...i know i am since im growing one with my male umbee and female Red Terror...their close to 6" now
 
I also would have expected the Festae to have a few more votes...my male used to be super mean.
 
not to beat a dead horse but no one on here has heard of N. Beani-and I too have also heard of Butti killing Dovii before.

i was going to put it but not many have heard or had much experience with them...isn't it like somewhat rare no adays...? well yea and i have heard of a butti beating up on a dovii too before...i had my group of juvenile buttis and 3 doviis all divided than one day i took it out and "BAM!" fight lifted in the tank...:irked: i sold the buttis back but one...but he died months after the conflict...as for the wild caught dovii's...i kept one but now you can see i don't have that one no more
