some thing to add, people keep on saying things like beani and butti's ive noticed, they must have forgotten the sheer fact that dovii and umbee grow to 20" plus and have mouths that would almost swallow tennis balls lol, ive never seen a beani in captivity bigger that 10-12" and ive never seen a butti bigger than 14" in captivity

True, but the thread is entitled "Which is the most aggressive SA/CA cichlid in your experience/opinion?"...not whos the biggest baddest or who could eat who.

Ive had neets and cons that were every bit as aggressive as any dovii/umbee/beani/festae etc...and Id be willing to bet that 90% of the "voters" on here have never had 99% of the fish they are saying are the most aggressive, merely going by what theyve read...and the ones saying JD/Oscar/GT...lol. Theyve obviously never had fish in the amph/para/ex cichla groups.

People harping on about Amph/Parachromis etc should try bumping up a Demasoni or Auratus to the same size.

This is "Which is the most aggressive SA/CA cichlid in your experience/opinion?"...

so it doesnt matter about the 'cans.

I've only really kept oscars, but i know they are P@$$^$. My buddy has a mean @$$ GT, and ive seen some pretty mean dovis, jags & red devils. My little JD got a mean streak on him.

True but people have already thrown that rule out of the window by putting Jewels, Buttis, Mbuna's etc in their lists.
