I'm getting a kick out of reading this. It's amazing how many "I think JDs are the meanest because mine killed my severum in my 40g breeder!" <--- I'm guessing in this line of thinking, This proves a JD is the most aggressive? That a 8in JD would kill a 16inch male Trimac? a two foot male Dovii I think not. I don't expect everyone on this site to know everything but basic things like O's, Severums, etc. are only moderately aggressive at best and even if one specimen was very aggressive it would be all bark and no bite at BEST. Even the brainiacs at Petsmart know better than this! heh

I tell ya what, my haitis are meaner than snot, when he gets full grown and he going to be a handfull. Right now its between the Haitis and the Dovii, at the moment the Umbee is a big baby but that all may change any moment :)

In my experience, oscars are only aggressive to fish that are smaller than them. If any fish is larger than the Oscar then it will swim away or bond with it. I've seen red devils be extremely aggressive, but they're not very dangerous. Red devil vs jag umbii or dovii, devil loses almost every time. But from what I've seen, they are the most aggressive on average. They'll chase simply to chase. Remember, the title says most aggressive, and not most powerful.

Dovii buy all means! I have a two inch juve that is already beat the crap outta everything upto 5"! I also have a juve umbee, but havent seen much of agression from him. My group of RD's are pretty calm. I have about 10 5" RD's in a 220G and they all seem to get along fine for now anyway.
