They said they are gonna try to get some pics to me soon. Petzone sent me these pics of the their $20 fry which I think I am gonna order one of those and a larger one out of the list.

Now Big_One, the one you told me to get and the other one I like aren't kamfa so I wouldn't have to wait 1.5 -2.5 years for it to breed?

As far as waiting for it to breed, if they are really Indo ZZ then no you don't have to wait up to 2 years or so. But Indo ZZ is basically ZZmalau, and malau doesn't mature until a year or so. I've seen and heard of malau that took 2 years to mature but that is rare IMO. Usually 1½-1¾ year is the longest for a malau to breed. Although this doesn't mean that you'll have to wait, it's just something that I know of ZZmalau. Now it may be able to breed within a year, only because of the ZZ gene itself. So it all depends on the fish itself...

Havent raised too many to adult size myself. All mine inproved as they grew so I assumed those 2 would also. As they are they look awesome! Im pretty sure you know better than I do and I wouldnt want to steer anyone the wrong way!

Those two are nice at that age, but they won't grow up to be as nice as what you expected. I would expect them to grow looking duller than what they look like at that age. I wouldn't buy it...

What do you think about this guy?

Either his pearls will spread out or they will stay the same. He will get thicker and stocky for sure. I would predict the kok to lunge forward as it grows bigger. For someone who really like pearls, those are some of the better fish for hobbyist who look after the pearls a lot. But to my liking, I pay attention to the color more than the pearl itself. And of course the tail, eye, body structure and so on too...:D

Its not definite yet, I still have to wait till I sell the ZZ before I have enough so 2-3 at the most. I will probably have him so me a few more before I decide but as it stands right now I want #1.

The fish cost $120 and shipping is $65.

You're saying kamfa get worse with age? Have you ever seen a progression thread of these or just zz? The 2 fish you're talking about will turn out better than all the others in this thread from what I've seen. These are all just opinions which is why I suggest to the OP to just go with whatever he wants. If it were me I would import from thailand or vietnam there is no point for paying the markup fee of whoever imported it if you have to pay for shipping anyways.

Nope I never said that, it all depends on the fish itself. And generally from what I've seen the ones with super great coloration at such a young age doesn't turn out to be as great. And of course these are all opinions only, no one truly knows how the fish will turn out. Only time will tell. And I'm stating it base on my experience with studying them over the years and growing out a few Kamfa fries for a friend of mine(I never post these fish because I don't have permission and they are not my fish).
And I agree as what you said, choose what suits your liking the most. ;)
