Which one do I keep??

Can't just let 'em fight. It is kind of sad to watch. I think the only reason the RD is so much more aggressive is he is established in the tank (about 6 months or so). I like the mouth of the jaguar...seems to be much more predatory. I have isolated the RD just to see how the other fish acts. He is starting to settle in and establish territory. He was chasing convicts this morning.

Im surprised no one has mentioned the fact that the jag has not matured yet. At 4-5 inches he is hardly a third of the size he will become. I know you don't want a fight, but IMO a full grown jag would destroy a full grown devil. If you want to bring out the aggression in any fish, give them a mate, let them spawn, and when the fry come, they will attack anything within reach, including your hand.

I vote Jag. (more colorful too)

JAG all the way. They are much better looking and if it was the other way around and the jag had been in there for 6 months and you dropped the devil in then it would be the jag harassing the devil. IMO RD's are overated, sure they are mean but they are normally not much to look at. A male Jag will turn into a beautiful patterned fish. With large teeth and a huge appetite. Pleas no backlash for what I just said. It is only my opinion and I know a lot of people like RD's. I have had them and just don't find them attractive

I would keep the reddevil cichlid also is your pitbull gamebred.
