I've kept argentea and synspila. Like others have indicated, its tough to go wrong with any vieja.

I agree and yours makes the decision even harder. Beautiful fish you have there. I've read they tend to not get quite as large as some of the others. Is this true?
No. I've seen pictures of 16"+ males. The only reason I can think of for that rumor is they're so common and usually kept in poor conditions (like oscars or something).

That might have just helped me decide. Most of my current stock will top out around a foot. I wouldn't mind having something a bit bigger potentially. A 14-16" Blackbelt would be awesome
