Which would you breed? Umbee or argentea

Umbees are better looking imo, something about the arg's face/mouth i don't like the veggie eater look to them. I think they hit the nail on the head when they say not many ppl can keep an umbee, but more can keep the arg's so for your money/selling wise go for arg
Argentea are easier to house so if you're taking an interest in the future of the offspring I would take this into consideration. I would be a great thing if everyone who got some umbee from you had a 300 or so gallon tank to keep one (or a pair) in but unlikely.
Umbee are certainly some hardcore fish, if I had the room I'd have a pair but I don't think I would care to distribute offspring.

Argentea are just as bad about beating up their girls. I have one female that gets beat on regularly and have a friend trying to breed args that has lost 2 females (I think, maybe 3) to male agression during courtship.tydus;2869918; said:I would keep the argentae and breed them. Lots of votes for argentea. Funny, I figured everyone would choose umbee. I normally make decisions pretty quickly with fish, I keep going back and fourth with these guys though. If only I had more space!
I voted for the Umbee. I haven't had any exp. with either fish, but from what I've read the Umbee will be more of a challenge. Good luck with your decision.
