White cloudy/slime?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think you may have an early diagnosis which benifits you but if you have lost two already then it could be worse then you think. I would get the Melaflex/Pimaflex and get on top of the water changes because I read in there that one cause was poor water quality! Good luck man.

never heard of pimaflex? im getting some supplies when i get out of word today, thank youall for the help. if anyone has any other suggestions please share

stopped down at the fish store to buy some more melafix and my buddy there showed me "methalene blue" i bought that and some melafix, i was told to take a bucket 5 gallon put some water and the treatment in it then dunk the fish in it for 10 seconds then put back into the tank, its some topical treatment, anybody have any expierience with this product?

what are u feeding them ? might be a feeder goldfish disease they picked up I'd do a 50 percent n see if that works

if there are toxins in your water, or anything that causes water turning color for treatment, then the chemicals are soaked in to your driftwood as well. Mine turned blue due to ick treatment, I boiled the hell out of it to kill any toxins absorbed. You really need to get one of those R/O filters for your tap water like I said before. I had a similar event, not quite as bad as you, lost one orino. I drained the tank completely, and refilled it with R/O water and the problem cleared up within 72 hours. And I didn't add a single thing for treatment. The more crap you add in there, the more stressed out there going to get. Just my opinion, but you cannot go wrong with the R/O tap water filtration system. It's about $45, and the filter pad inside if your tank is a 150 will only treat the refill once, then you'll need a replacement filter down the road for water changes, $18

I think i just posted a thread on summin like this i think my fish had it at a beginnging stage and i used melafix and its all gone now....but holla at boosten he is good help and a good person who will always answer your questions he helped me through mine good luck...and sorry about your loss....6 bass in a 120g is that ok because i only have to because i was told anymore would be to much and i got 135g?????

i mean i have 6 peas in a 120 right now but they arent going to be able to stay in there forever... i dont over feed like most people, i run a fx5 which i change the filter media every 3 weeks to once a month and i do weekly 35- 40 percent water changes... i run uv ster. and a bunch of other crap on the tank.. my fish went from 1.5 to 4 inches in less then 2 months... and i dont stuff them with food.. i have butt loads of current for muscle build up and aeration and my tank is constantly around 87- 88.. i have all wild caught orinos and monos which wont get as big as your tems but they still get big. good luck with your 4 foot monsters in 2 years or so ;) the worse thing is being forced to get rid of fish.. happened to me and i regret ever selling them, since they seem to be nicer then anything i have seen on the market :(
