White cotton like alge

Anybody else have comments? I really need to know if this alge is harmful.Ill get some SAEs

I looked closer, its more of a light gray. It floats away when fish swims close to it.

Can you post a photo?

I wouldn't buy a fish to fix a problem... I'm sure there are underlying reasons for what's going on... if we can figure them out, then you could fix the actual causes, instead of just adding more bioload to the tank with a fish.

This isn't old food, by any chance, is it? Where is it in the tank?
