Interesting, especially considering you're Australian.

Appears to be an Andinoacara stalsbergi from the scale patterns. Definitely need some better photographs.

Considering the likeliness of having A. stalsbergi in Australia, I'm going to say that is a poorly coloured Andinoacara pulcher (Blue Acara)

it is a basic Andinoacara rivulatus look better at the scales the green around the dark
and def need a better pic bro but if i had to guess and thats all its is i'd say feamle coz of the lack of bump on its head?

Andinoacara rivulatus has black centers, as does Andinoacara sp. "Gold Saum" (or aequinoctalis).

Andinoacara stalsbergi has bright centers, however I don't believe they're in Australia, and the bottom of the body does not have the light colouration through the chin and lower body that A. stalsbergi exhibits.

The caudal soft rays also show the patterning of A. pulcher, with spots through the hard and soft rays, unlike stalsbergi which morphs into stripes.

here are some from tonight at the shop they had an adult white edge and he looked like excatly like the in the 2cnd picture down in the fun facts thingy

It's an Andinoacara sp. "Gold Saum" (with White edges, can say White Saum if you like) more than likely soon to be scientifically classified as Andinoacara aequinoctalis. Fin colouration, fin patterning and overall body shape do seem a little strange though - possibly A. pulcher/Saum hybrid.
