It's an Andinoacara sp. "Gold Saum" (with White edges, can say White Saum if you like) more than likely soon to be scientifically classified as Andinoacara aequinoctalis. Fin colouration, fin patterning and overall body shape do seem a little strange though - possibly A. pulcher/Saum hybrid.

My false Green Terror look very much like the one pictured, the biggest difference being that instead of having the white around the edges he has a yellow color. Is mine a Gold Saum as well?

Here is a pic of him. It's pretty sad that my 2 megapixel camera on my cellphone works better for taking aquarium pictures than my 4 megapixel camera.

um if your GT has scaling like him ... its NOT a real gt , its a gold or silver gold saum .. the easy way to tell is the scales .. a real gt scales are colored center with a dark outline where as a gold/silver saum have a dark center with colored borders .. every pic in this thread has been a saum so far where as here is what a true GT looks like

Check out the first photograph, the flash and angle make the scale pattern appear like A. stalsbergi, but the second lot definitely confirm it's a saum.

Remember that "Green Terror" is good example of how terrible common names are, and argueing about "True GT's" is going to send you around the bend in an infinite loop of people not comprehending what you mean because they more than likely don't understand nomenclature.

It's easier to say they're all "Green Terrors", all species - A. stalsberi, A. aequinoctalis (Gold Saum) & A. rivulatus. None of them are true Green Terrors, none of them are false, it's a common name that should carry no weight when it comes to identification.
