everytime theyre on sale here, they are just the red finned variety colour morph, i duno but i think that it is the same sp., different colour

I've done loads of enquiries about Epalzeorhynchus Munensis ,aka white finned shark , had a few over the years too , according to our friend s in Thailand these [the ones in your pics] are just colour forms of E.Frenatus ! apparently Munensis has indeed got red fins ! If like me you read about these in B.Walkers book , Sharks and Loaches , and then H.M. Smiths book the Freshwaterfishes of Siam , then you will be confused as i am ! The difference i always found is that in the books mentioned , they are described as having black fins with white edges ! and a white caudal ! wheras these [in pics] dont ?
Very interesting debate though .
