They seem to just be a different color variant of a BGK. And as Lupin observed, it seems that you want to tell people how sensitive they are just because they died on you. This doesn't mean that they are sensitive. All the information you provided doesn't suggest anything about their sensitivity.

What was your tank size?
What was your filtration like?
What was your water parameters?
Temperature?
Diet?
Stock?
Did you examine them for parasites, infactions, ect?

You need to provide more detail on why you think these guys are sensitive. While there are fish species variants that seem to need more maintainence, like the Electric Blue Jack Dempseys, they aren't that big of a difference in care.

Its the same IF somebody with exp with discus told you discus was sensitive would you ask a billion questions on why they "think" the fish is sensitive or take it at face value and know that the fish needs jesus drinkable water

Yes all fish die on me. ;) All fish at some point all fish will die on you too thats a reason why i have not bought a fish in 4+ years

But to answer your skeet shoot

What was your tank size? 30g comm
What was your filtration like? duel emp 400
What was your water parameters? Perfect
Temperature? 76
Diet? blood worms
Stock? Glass shrimp a few glass tetras ultra light stock
Did you examine them for parasites, infactions, ect? They died from old age

My conditions were pristine but i could never get one past 3 years the reason they died is old age. I consider their life span about a long as betta's its just a few years Either you can believe me or not on the sensitivity or find out for yourself.

Oh, yes, I'd still instigate further their experience about discus considering discus themselves are not similar to knives and not all discus are that "sensitive" nor "fragile" as some people think and parrot.;) It is at this point subjective as I had repeated earlier and there are many various factors to consider before you start telling discus are sensitive. Captive bred discus are not really sensitive compared to wild caught ones as they can adapt well to various water conditions compared to the latter but this is another issue and we're talking in a knifefish forum aside from the fact I only cited an example for its subjectiveness.

No one said all fish will not die at all. They will of course die but there is a reason they will die, not just because one fish is sensitive and then drop dead.

If you haven't bought fish for four years, what are you keeping currently and how did you obtain them? How long have you been in the hobby? When did the white ghostknife first appear?

All snippets in red font are doubtful. What test kit did you use and what exactly were the water parameters assuming you can still remember the stats? How can you be sure it was old age? How big was your knife at that time you bought it and then when it died?

How can you be sure the water is pristine as you claim? Clear water doesn't mean all your water parameters are within safe range. Rest of paragraph points to the other quote just above this one.

You can't compare Discus to Knives and 3 years is not old age for a BGK since they can live for over 10 years.

Ive been in the hobby for 20 years yes all the fish i have now are all over 4-5 years old
i dont test my water after a while you can just tell if something is wrong or not

My vison sucks i thought this thread said Glass knife sensitivity lol

avoiding the confusion posts....
When you say white, do you mean albino? Never had one myself but i've seen the "blushing bgk", yes silly name but it was a supplier that called it that. As Ben said, i'd treat it as the standard bgk unless you see any problems. I asked at the lfs about these "blushing" ones (pinkish black) and they said they just treat them as normal and have had no issues.
There is a "white knife" but its totally different and costs a hell of alot more. Wish i had one of those beauties :D
