Home Depot: Quicrete "media sand" (brown bag, green writting/label) $7.99 per 100 lbs bag ;) 100% fish safe and PH inert. A little on the fine side but that might be a good thing depending on your stock.

I can buy 3 bags locally and hang on to them until your down in my area next?

My Home depot doesn't have any Quicrete stuff. A brand I'm very familiar with since my family are masons.

I may have you do that. Don't go rush out and buy it though. I have someone in Portland interested in some of my Kribs so I may be down your way the weekend after thanksgiving.

Cool, look me up when you do. I know for a fact the HD by my house has it. I just added it in one of my small tanks. This is what it looks like.. The tank is really dark, it needs a new light but it's nice and white just to give you and idea..

I put a new t5 on the 37 with zoomed real sun and 10,000k bulb and the sand looks whiter then it did under the other lights. I'm thinking it might work for me. But if your Home depot has it then I may do that.

And you live near the Home depot in Vancouver? Isn't there a burger king right there? I've been in that neighborhood a few times.

Same sand under the T5's

Yes sir, by the BK. It's off the "Padden Parkway" exit from the I205 side. It doesn hurt to grap a few hundred lbs while your here. It's super cheap.

That sand is HOT! Is the grain size very heavy? I could never find decent (heavy) white sand. That's my substrate unicorn lol.. T5 makes all the difference..

I would consider it a medium grit.

It says number 30 (#30) and with my sand blasting stuff 30 is middle of the road. 12-20 is coarse and 40-70 is super fine.
