I have a T8 bulb for illumination.
I got my sand as an extra when I bought the tank from a guy on craigslist, he gave me it because half was already in the tank and he had no use for it. He gave me the bag which still has about 3-4 pounds left... He told me he bought it at our LFS (Big Al's about 2 years ago). I honestly look every time I go and I've never seen it.
The company is OptaMinerals Inc.

It's really a great white sand. White with or without light shining on it. It's very fine sand though... gets picked up easily by the Python/Siphon...
Honestly, my fish love it. They shovel it, spit it, push it... it's kind of cool. I just have to be careful when cleaning.
I have the brown heavy duty paper bag it is packaged in still... Just read the back which says:
"Risk Phrases: Prolonged or repeated overexposure to silica dust may lead to severe respiratory problems."
I wonder if I should be worried... or do all sand bags have that as warning labels...
