Maybe, only time will tell. I have owned my share of senegals and never saw a white one stressed or not. lol Like I said in my last post I made my settings on the camera darker so people could see the speckles on the back they wouldn't show up because the white was to shinny. It is not brown at all, I made it darker. The last picture is what it looks like under regular t5. Those pictures were taken the next day and he had all night to settle in and still looks the same.
There is no shading between the belly and the upper body, it is all the same milky white color. Still a good deal even if it is just regular.

The tiny black spots are visible. In a true leusistic sene, those are not visible. The only black color are the eyes.

Regular sene have black pupils and light tan or brown to grayish outer layer.

Maybe not a true platinum, but a white senegal with tan freckles on the back, that is no monster fish urban legend that is a reality. The skin is white with light tan freckles, couldn't be the only at a chain could it..? haha
I found a white one now I just need to hunt down the black morph.:naughty:

More pics of the Petsmart Urban Legend (the white senegal). lol I took some more pics it is a lot harder to take pictures of a senegal than it is an endli or ornate, for those that have tried.:nilly: They do not stop moving!!!!
I used some chopped shrimp to get him to stay in one area at least he loves the stuff, hikari brine cubes that I feed to the apistos. well here ya go...let me know what ya think of him.

The tail fin that goes around is the tint that an albino poly has, kind of that light milky yellow. Check out your local petsmart. It would be cool if someone else on mfk found one.

I got a real nice picture today if anyone is still following this thread. My best picture so far, he was sitting still so I snuck over and took this picture. I will have an update in the photo lounge with all my polypterus when I get the chance.

Nice! Looks just like other plat senegals I've seen. Rarer than most to say the least! Congrats and I'm going to Petsmart tomorrow!;)

Hey thanks, I got pretty lucky. I ran in with a friend to get a bone for the dog for christmas, and went and checked out the fish section just for the heck of it. I don't even shop at petsmart, I order most fish online anymore.

Super nice pick up...and at Petsmart at that! True - a month ago I found two oddballs CL at Petsmart while buying something for my dog. However, your find is SWEET - non-comparison to mine.
