Paint half blue and half black. Then decide :)

Holy cow those tiles are bright. I don't even run a light on my ray tanks, if I did I think they'd get right out of the tank and switch it off.

Are the tiles not laying flat? I would just paint the outside back black.

yes the back tiles are slanted...i haven't cut them to fit yet i put them in at 12-1am this morning...to see if i liked it...i may just try and find a black backround paper instead of painting it...i like to change things up and if it is painted it will be alot harder to change...

any thoughts on that female?

i just have a 4' shop light on the tank...it was a dark yellow tint to the water with the rocks in...

i noticed that the raise tiles made all the poo go down out of sight, witch i like...down side is that alot of food goes down aswell...i put a half a dozen feeders in the space till i can cut the tiles....

fishdog i saw in you jag thread that you had 18" tiles with the molding tile... does that fill the 23" iner dim of the tank well? any gaps that the camera hides?

I think tile belong in the the bathroom.....some trends are just bad

I agree, it just doesn't look right to me. Bare glass or substrate. The rays are going to be wanting a urinal next :grinyes:

really...i wasn't even doing this cause of a trend...i like a clean neat look...i have black sand, natural sand, and a rocky planted set ups...i guess you don't do planted tanks cause plants belong in a garden right:grinno:

also you ever cleaned a ray tank? mine are still on black and blood worms...witch in the sand and rock get covered by them looking for the worms...then they dig for those all the while their poo is getting covered...when it comes time to clean i have to stir up the sand and rocks witch also reveals worms they didn't eat yet and they get sucked up...i am just tired of all the bs involved in cleaning around black worms and other foods in the tank...with the tile it is simple and easy to clean...i hate barebottom tanks so this is the mid ground...

I like the way it looks, but then again I'm a fanboy of tiled tanks :screwy:

I would recommend cutting the tile to fit, and having a black background. The tile in my tank isn't white, but it is a very light shade of gray, and with the black background it stands out. Either way you go, it will look great!
