hmmm, looks like all my normal tsn when they have been pulled from the water. After a few hours in well oxygenated water they get their coloration back. Also noticed that when I turn the lights on suddenly in the room where my filamentosum is he looks pale like that, but after about 20 mins he looks dark as ever. I think it's stress related many fish including catfish can change colors at varying degrees. When netted recently my tsn got his barb caught in the net. Took me about ten minutes to get him free. He was pale as a ghost, but the next day was normal again. Also when I have the cover on the pond during the winter they seem to lose most of their pigment, but when it's off during teh summer they regain their brilliant colors. I vote stress in the above pic as it was obviously caught and handled. I have some pics of a hybrid that was overhandled and looks much the same. I'll try to dig it up and post it below.
