who can tell me about grammodes.

Beani have many issues with bloat. They are my nemesis. I can not keep them alive for nothing.

As for the Grammode. Mine is 8", he shares the tank with 2 male Tex, a pair of Hogaboomarum's, a pair of Loisellei, 3 pikes, a Xiloaensis, 2 Kraussi, and a Carpintis. He minds his own business, as do the rest. The Hoga and Loisellei are the alpha males with the Texas always trying to push for dominance. But no fighting. And the Grammode just enjoys the company and minds his own business.

I think a Grammode would be a great choice.

I have had them. A great cichlid. Basically he is a smaller version of the dovi. like fast flowing, very clean water. People say that you can not keep more than 1pair in a tank but i found that not to be true. They have breath taking colors.

Grammodes are one of my favorites, nice colors, very aggressive, IMO the bigger your tank the more personallity/feedback you get from them... Although, I must admit, IMO they wouldn't be the optimum wet pet... Although I am sure that there are some exceptions.

Well I decided against the beani so right now its either a grammode my first choIce or a black nasty

Black Nasties can have bloat issues also when young. Grammodes although shy when small grow into beutifully colored maniacs. An 8 inch male imo is one of the prettiest cichlids. Keep up on the water changes an they will grow quicker.

Dude dovii grow slow too I meen they get big fast to about a foot but after that the growth slows down by then you will like him so much you will get the 240 he needs lol so worht it there beautiful monsters
