I have always seen pics on here and the water is crystal clear then I go into my room and look at 2 of my 10's and the water looks like it has a green tint to it I thought I was cuz of my gravel so I took it out changed the water still green I dont know what to do any help would be great thanks

over filtration... :D but you can always use charcoal

Don't forget water changes, and keeping sunlight to a minimum (This is my guess as to why yours is greenish)

You sound like you have an algea bloom in your water... which is different. More water changes and less light will be your friend here. Keeping them crystal is lots of mech filtration and filter floss.

im runin a 40 gal filter on 1 of my tanks and its out of sunlight ,but the one tank that is crystal clear is in the sunlight,i do whater chages every week, and how would charcol help ur water wouldnt make it black

Green cloud= algae bloom. You are either overfeeding, having too much light haven't done enough water changes, or all of the above. For keeping water crystal clear, it just take the right filtration. For floating particles, that means mech filtration.

i think ur problem is, u go by "40gal filter on a 10gal".... u have a 10gal tank, go get a 100+gph filter with good bio space. get an aqua clear filter or something. green tinted water is ugly.
