Who feeds NLS?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I had my last batch of cichla on NLS they ranged from 11"-15" and were all on 6mm NLS the key with these pellets is to feed much smaller pellets they are designed to be swallowed whole instead of chewed on.. About a month after the switch I noticed amazing colors. I'll switch my new group of cichla over to NLS once they are big enough to take the 7.5 mm
This pic is about a month after the switch you can clearly see the difference in the metauploadfromtaptalk1372046195980.jpgs

Thanks for your input guys. I ordered the 6mm thera A(big boys), 3mm thera A(growouts), and 4.5mm floating(for my aros). I bought the medium containers for now, dont want to get 5 lbs and have it go to waste if they dont like it. Wish me luck!

Recieved my NLS on monday night and have tried feeding it a few times since then. The majority of my fish are having difficulty adjusting to the hardness. My silver dollars are loving it, but only my 8" azul, 2 xingu, and 2 tems will swallow it. The rest attack it, but spit it out. Should i try mixing it up between nls and massivore or only offer nls?

As with any food. Give it time. They'll take it.

You could feed a mixture of both and then slowly increase the amount of NLs with every refill of your small container.

I have always fed NLS. Any fish I get, gets NLS. I'm sure it takes some of them a while to get the hint, but hunger seems to grease those skids a bit.
