Who has had their wisdom teeth removed?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My bottom 2 were so severly impacted that they had to cut bone out of my jaw. I was on percasets for like 3 weeks worse pain I ever had to deal with!

Ugh I hate mouth problems... I had an orthodontis appt today, and I can't close my mouth straight and when I try to eat, the food falls out, and my tongue gets cut up every time I move it :irked:

Having teeth pulled isn't fun. Ask for laughing gas. That actually IS fun.

Had all four removed same day. Was knocked out for it. Woke up, groggy, went home and made hamburgers and French fries. No big deal at all for myself.

i got all for taken out last Halloween, didnt hurt, i just a sore jaw for a week and a couple bruises

i had one removed cuz it was impacted and i don't want to scare you but it was the worst pain of my life so far i think gas makes it better so ask for that i had the injections

They gave me Nitrous oxide. That was fun. They had to cut all of mine out. None of them where coming through yet, they couldn't wait or it would mangle the nice job my braces did.

But I bled a lot. They told me to bite down on tea bags. That was nasty.

Then they kept closing up and getting infected and i had to go in like 3 times to have them jab them back open with a metal hook to drain them.

It sucked
But they give you Vicodin. So how much pain can you really be in afterwards.

Certainly not even remotely the worst pain I have ever felt. :screwy::screwy::screwy:

(Try giving birth with no pain killers. And in the middle of a huge contraction have a nurse try to TURN your unborn baby into the right position. That hurt so much I puked.)

i new and saw this lol i never have had mine removed but its pretty easey from what i have seen from many friends back to work the same day sometimes.

Hmm...Well I was hoping for more "its not that bad" comments. lol. Well I believe I am getting completely knocked out instead of kind of awake with the gas. I have never had surgery or broken any ones or anything so I am a little nervous. I got a few days off from work so hopefully I'll live. haha.

Oh and Ang:

You're crazy for having birth with no pain meds! lol. I don't know how people do that!

General anesthetic. 45 minutes with a dental surgeon. My sister is a dental hygienist so she watched the whole thing so "they don't kill me"!!! :WHOA: 1st 2 days afterwords were the worst, :irked: not bad after a week. Fully healed up after about a month. See if you can get your pain med prescription filled BEFORE they are extracted. The dental surgeon drove a Turbo 911 Porsche so they must make a lot of $$$$ !!!

Suck it up!
