I got mine out not long ago and other than a bit of soreness, all you have to worry about is sitting back and enjoying the pain meds.

:chillpill::D:chillpill:

I got all four of mine pulled and have a severe phobia on dentists. I will shake uncontrollably, turn ice cold, and sweat bad. (sorry to be gross). I also will stay tense from the moment I sit down, until I am done, and I feel exhausted afterward. I was doing 2 research studies with "investigation" pain meds. Two separate occasions. Two per side per visit. You are given the option of local and gas, and since I was poor and doing the study for the money, I just did the local. After the study we can find out if we got the placebo or the actual meds and on the first trip, I was doped up and drooling, and in no pain, just a little sore, and afterward I got vicoden. Chose to eat some mashed potatoes in fear I would hurt myself. The second time around, I got the placebo. No drugs, just the sugar pill. Worst pain I had ever been in, and being alone in a clinic by myself in a room made it worse. After I got out though, they gave the script for the Vics again, and the pain returned to just a sore feeling which went away after a few days. Don't smoke for at least 3 days, you will more than likely get dry socket if you do, I did. Don't drink from a straw either, it can make the blood clots become loose. Other than that, don't be nervous. You will be knocked out, (if you choose), if not, even for someone with fears like me, you will be totally fine. You will be in there for maybe 30 -45 minutes start to finish. Mine took longer due to fused roots. :(

I was knocked out and got all 4 removed at once. I was vicodin for the couple of days and just bit down on gauze. Wasn't that bad, I drank milkshakes for 3 days.

I loved getting them pulled because I love the feeling of NOx (didn't put me under) until it wore out and vicoden doesn't do it for me. I actually kinda like going to the dentist, lol.

I'm the same way, I can never eat or enjoy myself the day before the dentist, even if it's just a check up. When i get there I tense up and get really worried. Then when it's done I'm super tired and I sleep for like 12 hours...
Like comedian Daniel Tosh once said, it's like making an appointment to get punched in the face.

I can't wait to get my wisdom teeth removed. :irked:

Well for me i had all 4 taken out, but they put my under since i was a baby and didn't want to stay awake for it, but as for pain it didn't hurt it just felt sore from my mouth being open and the muscles sore. and my month vary num and bloody, but i was drinking and eating jello that night :D. Also i didn't use my pain killers because it really didn't hurt for me to use them. But i did enjoy them later on.

I only have 3. The dentists told me before they started coming like over a year ago. "You HAVE to get them removed becaus ethey are gonna kill you the way yours will grow in." Well my 3 wisdoms came in about 2 months ago and ya, it hurt, but ive went through child brith so it wasnt that bad..and they are still in.

I had Nitrous Oxide. It put me ALL the way out. Like i was under general anesthesia.

Am I the only one that was completely 100% out with Nox? :confused:

I dont remember anything except opening my eyes once on the car ride home.
:confused:

Then when I got home, I tried walking to my bedroom to sleep and I walked into a wall.
:grinno::nilly:

With NOS, you don't pass out, you just don't really remember anything from it.

I had all 4 of mine out 2 years ago, and it was awful. All 4 of them became impacted despite me cleaning them out every day with the syringe thingy they gave me. I could also feel my jawbone in the holes if I tried to touch it with my tongue. If you don't have any problems with your teeth after, it isn't bad at all.
