Dentist phobia was the worst. You and Mamapuff just need a fishing hook in your finger! :headbang2

I used to not have this phobia. I actually liked going. But I had one bad experience, and I didn't want to explain what happened until the parties having their teeth pulled were done :) I guess you could say in a way I like pain. I love piercings, and pain they bring lol. It took me having my molar crack and having my root exposed for over 8 months before I finally broke down and went back to the dentist. That pain was too much for me.

I had 2 of my impacted wisdoms removed - didn't feel a thing. I had them put me out to sleep. Woke up still not feeling a bit of pain. Hardly even used my Vicodins after that. Don't sweat it too much!

Actually, when I took my Dad to the ER for both of his (He's had 2 in 5 years), it came from both females nurses and ER docs
my mom had me all natural. after that she had pain killers for my sister, she said with the epidural its basically painless. im sure its not pleasant tho.

i have TMJ my dentist told me takeing my wisdom teeth out will make it all better so i was like ok sure this will be fun..i have my 2 right wisdom teeth taken out after a hour of them out i am in some of the worst pain ever (i have have been in a lot of pain before) and that pain lasted for about a week or so...and i was num in my mouth for about a month and a half if not longer and that is my story lol =D

I've still got all four of mine, it's what makes me so wise! :D

Seriously though, it depends a lot more on your teeth than the dentist. My father was a dentist for nearly forty years - I've seen teeth pull out like nothing and I've seen my dad have to cut a tooth into pieces and extract each twisted root individually...

I had my removed yesturday. They knocked me out. I had all 4 pulled apparently they had to break them up to get them out. He even told me for my age and how they were impacted I would be in pain and they should have been out a long time ago so I was preapred for the worst. I woke up and was like "is it over?....really its over" wasnt as bad as I thought at all. I havent had any pain but the stitches are very uncomfortable and I have ache's... more or less the stitches bug me and my teeth bug me... kind of like that annoying feeling some of you get from grinding yoru teeth or the tightening of braces. Its just annoying and uncomfortable. I am glad I am not in horrible pain and throwing up. So far I ve eaten jello, pudding and soup.
