First..I never kept a Jag with africans...I kept a front with americans/australians:D
Second...Let me say I don't want anyone to see this and think it will work for them. Chances are it most likely won't.

Having said that, sometimes it just works.:)
It really depends on the fish..My big guys never ever looked twice at the Front which would have been a snack to them all.

oh such a beautiful picture...of extremely beautiful fish.. i agree .. i do not want anyone to do it especially someone who has no way of changing the situation if needed.. but to be honest alot of things not in the norm...actually turn out better then one would expect.. but it is definitly the temperment of the fish involved and the room it has that makes the difference..and the fish keeping skills to intervene in an instant if needed..

tank size also comes into play...
i feel if a fish has enough space.. it wont bother its tankmates.... also keep them well fed.. i think African cichlids and CA cichlids have the same temperament and like the same water conditions thus working out sometimes.. the only thing that is different is diet... some africans like a low protien diet... while some fish like the frontosa are actually carnivores.
to solve this is put a net in the tank to sperate the omnivores from the carnivores and feed them what they need :D
