Ehhh I feed them a bag of frogs per week, then another bag of ghost shrimp for their rations if they hungry if I will not be at home for a period of time.

Frogs makes my bichirs SO PHAT! They are l337 for pumping imo. My silver aro's colour oso increased after changing from swordtails to frogs.

Yep frogs are the best IMO. Feed mine with Indonesian Floating frogs.

African dwarf frogs if I am not mistaken are a part of their natural diet. Anyone know how to quarantine them and make them safe for bichir consumption ?

never personally fed amphibians to my fish or other pets for that matter.. but usually fungal/bacterial issues would be my biggest concern w/ using them as feeders. I'de put them threw the same QT process I would a feeder fish.

my Bichir's and TT eel get guppies which I home raise, otherwise frozen bloodworms, beefheart, a myrid of cichlid pellets, shrimp pellets, tetramin floating reptile sticks, and anythign else I can find to toss in the tank.. lol... they'll eat just about anything.

I never had...I try to avoid feeders as much as I can.

i feed feeders a lot to my fish the main one i feed feeders to is my ornate that i recintly moved to his own tank........ right now i got about 30 full grown guppies in his tank and he will geta about 10 a day........ i breed guppies and feed him smaller ones but i always grow a few out to full grown sizes and he goes crazy over them.....

OK in my country I never really have to quarantine my frogs because they come from farms that breed frogs solely for feeding. The LFS usually carries a small amt of packets(1.50SGD for say around 25-30 small frogs) and its while stocks last. The frogs will always get sold out before the next day(Sometimes I have to go early in case they get sold out and a wasted trip). And my frogs never last a day in tank ^^

I never have intentionally, but there has been maybe three occasions where one of my delhezi's caught a feeder that the datnoid and pike cichlid missed. They don't miss often.

I stick to live bloodworms and frozen krill
