Tilapia is the best fish around IMO. ive ate numerous channel cats from mine and friends tanks. Tried oscar and midas. both not bad at all. Giant gourami oon the other hand tastes like poop. why leave them to die a death in someone elses tank when you can put them out of their misery and make a meal of it at the same time. all of my friends condemned me for it at first, but now who do they call when their fish get too large. Of all the millions of fish that are abused and killed every month, why cant a few make it to the dinner table before they end up in a trash can. Im all for the fish as food debate. And everyone who hasnt tried tilapia is missing out. seriously its probably the cheapest fish you can buy and it tastes great. even if your not a fish eater. cooked right it has a very nice taste and would change some minds im sure.

Steamed Tilapia ROCKS!! Eat your cichlids timmy!!

So how do you cook your fish? Does an Oscar taste good? I dont know if I could eat my own fish... Then again fish are pretty tasty...

hahahaha. still alive. havent had the time to take em out and fillet em. they are definitely hitting my stomach if they dont get sold soon. saturday night, a few beers, and some nice healthy devils are gonna get tossed into the oven. fish rock in every way. they are fun to watch, fun to catch, taste good, and are healthy for you. cant beat it. i promise as soon as they are ready i WILL have pics of the whole mess. or feast as i prefer to think of it.

if your fish is fresh then heat the oven to 400' and make a tinfoil pouch or tray for the fish. rub both sides of fish with butter season both sides and cook for 10 mins. perfect every time. I use this stuff called Stubbs spice rub as seasoning with some frsh garlic and pepper and onion powder. yumyumyum.
