who has the biggest and oldest BGK

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i have one, it is no smaller than eleven inches and i feed it tetra cichlid sticks by hand and blood worms in a lift tube so only the bgk gets it otherwise the others in the tank get it. I put a 14 inch long piece of 4 inch wide pvc pipe with a third of the pvc cut off lengthwise and lean it up against the front of the tank with rocks behind so it dosen't move and i see my favorite fish all the time. how about those 2 bgk's together in pwmin tank. love it

BGK are delicate kind of predetors.. i am glad to hear he is doing well now..

yes i was wrong with that , but i figured if the bgk was lording it over the 3 1/2 inch dempsey and green terror it might work , i have the bumblebee cat ten years now so i let it off with a slap on the wrist.

there is only one BGK in there :) my background (ghetto cardboard) covers both sides and the back, which led to a reflection in the pic. there are some more pics here: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v476/pwmin/125-gallon Tank/?start=20&paginator=bottom

i've since rearranged my tank, btw. i took my ghost tubes out, which it was always in, because it scraped itself on the edge (didn't use the right tube). he healed nicely in a couple days, but i would like to put a tube back in. what is the best thing to use for a clear tube? even with the lights out, it will usually come right out when i drop food into the water. i've been feeding it frozen bloodworms for its whole life, but i'm going to start feeding it more and some more variety.

I use an olive jar. Clear, long, narrow and no sharp edges.
