who has the biggest and oldest BGK

i took my ghost tubes out, which it was always in, because it scraped itself on the edge (didn't use the right tube). he healed nicely in a couple days, but i would like to put a tube back in. what is the best thing to use for a clear tube?

I use an olive jar. Clear, long, narrow and no sharp edges.

i actually have some big jars...good idea. when it gets too big for the jar, what will i use, then?

It will be awhile before he outgrows it. Mine is about 8 inches and can turn around inside the jar that is about 3 inches across. He also eats blood worms, strips of fish, shrimp and anything else that fits in his mouth.

ahhh i was wondering " but how does this guy have two bgk's in one tank ?" my mind was playing tricks on me (song by ghetto boys) so getting into my bgk since i came upon this site ,as i was looking at this extra tetramin minuscule leftovers i have about a couple ounces i made some mash out of it into tiny meatballs(not much water at all added) and the bgk loves it. LIZ i forgot to mention you have one stout bgk, the stripe on his back is the best, kind of horse like. All your fish are fine as i have seen them in your other posts. and you have the oscar with the red devil unharmed, good show.

you know how fish know when you want to net them before you even put the net in the tank , like they can read your eyes or intentions? well i figure they also know when you have good intentions for them no matter the size of the tank (within reason) they are comforted by us feeding them and taking care of them . That stripe is like it saying thanks. It doesn't care what the fish tank police think about him having a bigger tank.

I really think fish know alot more then we give them credit for.. i can read them but i know your right ..they read us too..thanks for your sweet comments ..your someone who thinks alot like i do.

mine did three or four inches in a few months.. but mine is alone and eats everything..if they're are alot of tank mates and you have a timid type knife he may not get as much food..so i would say it depends on the environment ..try to give a good varied diet so he gets everything he needs and he will grow fast.
